The World of Outlaws organization is being short-sighted in marketing itself as simply a racing sanctioning body. What they need to do is market themselves as also a Cure For Dry and Draught Conditions. Bring the WoO into Central Pa and you're just about GUARANTEED that it'll rain. Not your typical on-off drizzly, dreary wet day but the batten-down-the-hatches-Martha-she's-a-comin' gutter washer type.
Yeah, I too am hoping to be there for the Friday night show. And with each passing day, the weather forecast is looking more grim toward the end of the week. We haven't had any friggin' rain here in more than THREE WEEKS! But NOOOOOOOO, let the WoO come into town and a storm starts to brew. The owners of the Grove may have to throw out all of their knives and sharp objects. They really can't get a break.
On the eastern end of the state they're calling for Friday as the worse, Saturday leftover showers. Guess I'll be checking weather.com constantly for the rest of the week.
Makes me sick...

How about particulars? Where, when?
Although I may regret it, I'm scrapping pans to go on Friday and will go on Saturday. Chris, I'd recognize you in a crowd, but I've never met you Greg. I'll be in turn two in the infield. Where are you guys going to be? We can meet.
Leaving on Saturday @ 2:00PM if you can resppond before then.

Greg,
Before the gates open I park on the small strip of grass outside the back pits, across from the RV parking. Once the gates open I put my stuff right by turn two, then I too am all over the pits. Once they're ready for hot laps, I'll be planted right in turn two in the infield. I'll look for you and your famous jacket, but try to stop by. Gosh I hope it clears up in time!!!

The National Open has been rescheduled for October 11th, but there won't be any Outlaws there. There could still be a good car count since the other tracks and series' are done for the season. $12,000 to win could entice a few All Stars drivers to show. I however will not be attending since I have a 30th surprise birthday party for my brother to attend that night. Here's hoping the weather cooperates this time and they get a good car count. I know papossefan is planning to attend and will take LOTS of pics. Pack your mittens.
